Bio-sourced and biodegradable, what does that mean?

Bio-sourced : The concept of biobased indicates products from renewable resources such as vegetable, animal, residual, algal.

When we speak of “bio-based”, we are only interested in the origin of the raw materials from which we make products.

Thus the bio-based means a product or a material entirely or partially made from materials of biological origin.

Biodegradable : The concept of biodegradable, it refers to degradation through living organisms: bacteria, fungi, algae ... Biodegradation depends on different parameters: the degradation environment, the structure of the components and the manufacturing process.

A substance or material is said to be biodegradable if, under the action of external living organisms, decomposition takes place in various elements, without any harmful effect on the natural environment.

However nature is its playground par excellence, the Frisbees designed until now are in THERMOPLASTICS, they can take MORE than 100 years to degrade, it is in opposition to Nature.

We wanted to push our eco-responsible approach to the end by designing the first bio-sourced and biodegradable Frisbees in France and even beyond !! Thanks to this innovation, we have obtained the support of BPI France and the Occitanie Region.
